Victorian Soccer Fixtures and Results 1889

1889 sees the game on the wane. Argus coverage now starting to get scratchy. Only 3 effective teams. From two to zero Prahran teams. Carlton and South Melbourne have been constants throughout the previous 6 years.

    I think there's a mistake here - would there have been two matches played by Melbourne Rovers and Carlton on June 8? (I'm thinking the source says the 6-0 game was in late June?)

    Also, did the Melburne Rovers vs South Melbourne game scheduled for July 13 go ahead?
